Arike Ogunbowale

Arike ogunbowale (born April 2, 1985) is an American professional player of the basket ball. She is a player for the Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. She played basketball in college for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Wings drafted her with the fifth selection of this year's WNBA. Arike Ogunbowale's father and mother Yolanda Ogunbowale and Gregory Ogunbowale were born March 2 1997 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mario Ogunbowale is her 26-year-old brother and Dare Ogunbowale, 20 years of age. Since she was the eldest of her siblings, her parents treated her to the very best treatment. Her father Gregory was to the Nigerian Army for quite some time. Ogunbowale was raised in a bustling family. She has a mother Yolanda and her brother Dare also played softball at DePaul. Ogunbowale took gold at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship and 2013 FIBA U17 World Championship, and the 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championship. In July of 2014 she was picked to join the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was also named as a member of the ACC All-Freshman Team after her first season as a collegiate player.
